Tome S/S '14

Tome was beautiful.  There is quite an interaction between draping and structure.  I, personally, am not a huge fan of the larger, structured pieces.  I know that the ideas executed are fairly popular, but I myself am not such a fan.  I like something that mimics the natural flow of the body or more traditional silhouettes.  When it comes to these gorgeous pieces, I am hooked.

Do you appreciate the bolder concepts?
If you looked through the collection, what do you think of the draped pieces?  Interesting?  Yea or nay?

Nicole Miller S/S '14

I don't even know where to begin.  It's hard to take my eyes off these beautiful outfits!
Nicole Miller has done it.  I mean, what do I even say?  Her collection says it all for me.  If you are looking for something a little more upscale than the usual tee and jeans casual, this is the place to look.
These are only a glimpse into some of the concepts she presented.  There were lots of floral and geometric combinations.  Definitely work checking out the runway video!

This first couple outfits here are so dreamy.  If I look away then I have to wake up to my real wardrobe... heh heh.
The embellished pants are beautiful.  Easy enough to dress down or up.
The green print pants are a cool alternative to the usual military camo or cargo style we see.
That floral print couldn't be anymore 'spring'.
And the jackets...oh, the jackets.  One of each, please.  *smile of satisfaction*  The first couple and the bottom cream one are simply lovely.  How feminine and beautiful.

Do you like the feminine, flirty lines or the bold, hard lines?

Rebecca Minkoff S/S '14

Though I am familiar with this designer's name, as well as her famous "Morning After Bag", I will admit that I have not followed Rebecca Minkoff much before this week's show.  Now, however, I am inspired to keep her in my sights.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the S/S '14 collection.

Her ability to combine feminine and sporty aesthetics is remarkable.  It blends so seamlessly and results in an interesting but wearable selection.  Casual and easy with just enough embellishment and detail, this is right up my alley.
Can we please note the shorts and skirts?  Who wouldn't love to try these?  Classic cuts with unique touches that are only hers.
I LOVE the yellow and black pattern.  She managed what looks like a fresh, spring-accessible plaid.  At least, that is how it translated to me.
And, of course, how can we not address those shoes?!  Amazing.  They are art... and super funky!  I want to try them on so badly!
